The Role
In this role, you’ll take responsibility for delivering tax compliance and advisory services across personal and corporate clients, while contributing to audit and accounts work where necessary.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and preparing personal tax returns (self-assessment) and related computations.
- Preparing and reviewing corporation tax returns and supporting schedules.
- Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients to address queries.
- Working on other compliance tasks such as PAYE, VAT or capital gains as required.
- Supporting audit and accounting work when needed.
- Reviewing the work of more junior team members and providing guidance.
- Building and maintaining client relationships through clear and proactive communication.
- Keeping up to date with tax legislation and developments.
About You
- At least 3 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice.
- Strong technical competence across both personal and corporate tax.
- Good communication skills and a proactive, engaging approach.
- Familiarity with software such as Digita, Xero, Sage, or BrightPay (preferred but not essential).
- Cheerful, diligent, and motivated to grow your career.
