This is an excellent opportunity for an Audit & Accounts Manager to join a long-established and reputable accountancy practice based in Bath. You’ll work with a diverse client base across multiple sectors, managing a team and contributing to the firm’s continued success and growth.
The Role
As Audit & Accounts Manager, you’ll take responsibility for managing a portfolio of audit and non-audit clients, overseeing assignments from planning to completion, and ensuring all work meets the highest technical and professional standards. You’ll act as a trusted advisor, building lasting relationships with clients and supporting their business goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of audit and accounts clients, including SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and charities
- Leading audits from planning through to finalisation, ensuring compliance with UK auditing standards
- Reviewing statutory accounts prepared under FRS 102 and other UK GAAP requirements
- Overseeing the preparation of management accounts and corporation tax computations
- Managing workflow, budgeting, and deadlines across multiple assignments
- Coaching, mentoring, and reviewing the work of junior staff
- Building strong client relationships and providing proactive business advice
- Assisting partners with ad-hoc projects, including advisory and business development work
