The Role

As Semi Senior Accountant, you’ll be involved in a variety of assignments across accounts, audit, and tax, giving you a well-rounded foundation to progress in your career. Working closely with seniors, managers, and partners, you’ll gain valuable client-facing experience while continuing your professional studies.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
• Assisting with the preparation of management accounts, VAT returns, and bookkeeping assignments.
• Supporting the preparation of corporation tax and personal tax returns.
• Contributing to audit assignments, including planning, fieldwork, and testing under the supervision of senior staff.
• Liaising with clients directly, gathering information, resolving queries, and developing your relationship management skills.
• Supporting senior colleagues with technical and advisory projects.
• Taking responsibility for meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality work standards.
• Working toward ACA/ACCA qualification with full study support provided.

About You

The successful candidate will:

• Be AAT qualified or ACA/ACCA part-qualified.
• Have at least 1–2 years of experience in an accountancy practice.
• Possess a good understanding of accounts preparation and tax compliance, with some exposure to audit.
• Be motivated to continue professional studies and build a long-term career in practice.
• Have excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Be confident in communicating with clients and colleagues, both in writing and in person.
• Show enthusiasm, resilience, and a proactive attitude toward learning and development.
