Private Client Tax Senior

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Private Client Tax Senior to join a respected and growing accountancy and advisory firm in Newcastle. You’ll work closely with a diverse portfolio of personal tax clients, managing compliance work while gaining exposure to more complex advisory assignments.
The Role
As Private Client Tax Senior, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality personal tax services to individuals, business owners, directors, and high-net-worth clients. You’ll take ownership of your own portfolio, ensuring all tax matters are handled accurately and efficiently while building long-lasting client relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns for a portfolio of clients
- Managing the annual personal tax compliance cycle, ensuring all deadlines are met
- Advising clients on a range of personal tax issues including income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax
- Supporting managers and directors with more complex tax planning and advisory work
- Assisting with HMRC enquiries and client correspondence
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients through clear, professional communication
- Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and sharing knowledge within the team
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members as required
