Audit Senior

This is an excellent opportunity for an Audit Senior to join a respected and expanding accountancy practice in Newcastle. You’ll be part of a collaborative audit team, working with clients across multiple sectors and developing your technical and leadership skills in a supportive environment.
The Role
As Audit Senior, you’ll play a key role in planning, leading, and delivering high-quality audits. You’ll manage on-site teams, liaise with clients directly, and ensure that assignments are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading audit fieldwork from planning through to completion
- Preparing financial statements in line with UK GAAP and other relevant standards
- Reviewing work completed by junior team members, offering feedback and coaching
- Managing client relationships and ensuring excellent communication throughout the audit process
- Ensuring all audits are compliant with ISAs and internal quality standards
- Identifying risk areas and making recommendations for process improvements
- Working closely with managers and partners to deliver excellent client service
- Supporting and mentoring trainees as they progress through their professional qualifications
- Keeping up to date with technical and regulatory changes in auditing and financial reporting
