This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Tax Manager to join a well-established regional firm in Newbury. You’ll support a wide range of clients, develop your technical expertise, and play a key role within a growing tax team.
The Role
As Assistant Tax Manager, you’ll support senior colleagues while managing your own diverse portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients.
- Preparing and reviewing personal and corporate tax returns
- Managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance deadlines are met
- Assisting with complex advisory projects including CGT, IHT, restructuring, and remuneration planning
- Conducting technical research and preparing advisory reports
- Liaising directly with clients, building strong professional relationships
- Handling HMRC enquiries and correspondence
- Overseeing and supporting the work of junior team members
- Contributing to improvements in tax processes and internal efficiencies
