Job Purpose 

• Overseeing a large portfolio of tax clients
• Working closely with Employment Tax Director to provide support and ensure compliance at every step
• Preparation and reviewing of tax computations
• Preparation and reviewing of tax returns
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Liaising with HMRC to resolve tax queries quickly and effectively on behalf of clients
• Supporting business development strategies, attending prospective meetings and quoting for services
• Overseeing junior team members, including workflow management, quality control, and providing training
• Building trusted client relationships, proactively handling queries and problem solving
• Keeping up-to-date with tax knowledge, championing knowledge sharing across the team

The Successful Applicant

• ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified
• Qualified by experience within UK practice also considered
• Strong portfolio management experience
• Technically efficient across taxation
• Supervisory experience with good people management skills
• Self-motivated, reliable and eager to progress 
• Proficient in using relevant software, including Sage, Xero, QuickBooks etc
• A drive to deliver technical knowledge to clients
• Confident in reviewing processes and improving systems to boost efficiency 
• Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written 
• Commercial business acumen
