Client Manager

This is an excellent opportunity for a Client Manager – Agriculture & Property to join an established accountancy practice in Kettering. You’ll manage a dedicated portfolio of agricultural, rural business and property clients, overseeing accounts and tax work and supporting the development of junior team members.
The Role
As Client Manager, you’ll act as the main point of contact for a varied portfolio of agriculture and property clients, including farming businesses, rural enterprises, landlords and property investors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing your own portfolio of agriculture and property clients, providing day-to-day accounting and tax support
- Reviewing year-end statutory accounts, management accounts and tax returns prepared by the team
- Advising on sector-specific matters such as farm accounts, diversified income streams, land and property ownership, capital allowances, VAT and capital taxes
- Building strong, long-term client relationships and acting as a trusted adviser
- Supervising, mentoring and reviewing work of junior and part-qualified team members
- Managing workflow and deadlines across your portfolio, ensuring work is delivered on time and to a high standard
- Assisting with proposals, new client onboarding and ad hoc advisory projects
- Identifying opportunities to add value, improve processes and support practice growth
- Contributing to team training, knowledge sharing and internal improvements
This is a hands-on role with a strong mix of technical delivery, sector-focused advisory and people management.
About You
You’ll be a commercially aware accounting professional with strong practice experience and a genuine interest in the agriculture and/or property sectors.
