This is an excellent opportunity for an Audit Manager to join a well-established accountancy firm based in Stoke-on-Trent. You’ll manage a varied audit portfolio, oversee end-to-end engagements and play a key role in mentoring and developing junior colleagues.

The Role

As Audit Manager, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality audit work from planning through to completion, ensuring both technical excellence and outstanding client service.

• Managing a portfolio of audit clients across a range of sectors
• Leading audits from planning and risk assessment through to completion and file sign-off
• Preparing audit strategies, budgets and resource plans, ensuring work is delivered efficiently
• Reviewing audit files, working papers and statutory accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients, handling queries and providing practical, commercial advice
• Managing and developing Audit Seniors, Semi Seniors and trainees through coaching and on-the-job support
• Monitoring deadlines, team workflow and engagement profitability
• Identifying and escalating technical issues, ensuring appropriate resolutions and documentation
• Supporting senior leadership with tenders, proposals and business development activities
• Contributing to continuous improvement across audit processes and methodology
