This is an exceptional opportunity for an Audit Director (RI) to join a well-established and ambitious professional services firm in Stoke-on-Trent. You’ll oversee high-quality audit delivery, manage senior client relationships, and contribute to the long-term development of the practice.
The Role
As Audit Director, you’ll lead the audit department while acting as an RI for a broad portfolio of clients.
- Leading audit assignments from planning through to final sign-off as RI
- Managing a portfolio of clients, including SMEs, groups, and growing owner-managed businesses
- Acting as a key point of contact for major clients, providing commercial insight and strategic advice
- Overseeing technical quality, risk management, and compliance across the audit function
- Leading, mentoring, and developing audit managers and senior staff
- Supporting Partners in practice development, tendering, and client acquisition
- Driving team performance, operational efficiency, and high-quality standards
- Contributing to wider firm strategy and leadership discussions
This is a senior leadership role offering genuine influence and visibility across the practice.
