Tax Senior

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Tax Senior to join a respected and expanding accountancy practice in Birkenhead. You’ll be responsible for managing a varied client portfolio, delivering high-quality compliance work, and supporting tax planning and advisory projects.
The Role
As Tax Senior, you’ll play a key role in providing a proactive and professional tax service to a wide range of clients, including individuals, partnerships, and owner-managed businesses. You’ll work closely with managers and partners, contributing to both compliance and advisory assignments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and reviewing personal and corporation tax returns
- Managing tax compliance processes for your client portfolio, ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines
- Providing support on a range of advisory assignments including restructuring, R&D tax claims, and capital allowance work
- Assisting with tax planning and providing advice to clients on tax efficiency
- Liaising directly with clients, handling queries and building long-term relationships
- Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and providing feedback and training
- Supporting the wider team with ad hoc projects and client assignments
- Staying up to date with UK tax legislation and contributing to technical discussions within the team
