The Role
As a Bookkeeper, your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining accurate financial records for a diverse portfolio of clients
- Processing invoices, payments, and receipts
- Reconciling bank accounts and credit card statements
- Preparing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with HMRC deadlines
- Supporting clients with day-to-day bookkeeping queries
- Assisting with management accounts preparation as required
- Liaising with clients directly to gather information and resolve queries
- Working with the wider team to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services
The Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will:
- Have proven bookkeeping experience gained in either industry or practice
- Possess strong technical knowledge of bookkeeping and VAT
- Be confident using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Be able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Have strong communication skills and a client-focused approach
- Be proactive, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
