The Role
As a Tax Senior, you’ll manage a varied client portfolio, delivering both compliance and advisory services. This role offers exposure to personal and corporate tax matters and provides opportunities to broaden your advisory experience while mentoring junior staff.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and reviewing personal and corporate tax returns.
- Assisting with advisory projects such as capital gains, succession planning, and remuneration strategies.
- Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients.
- Reviewing work prepared by junior staff, providing support and guidance.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Assisting managers and partners with ad hoc assignments.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will bring:
- ACA/ACCA/CTA qualification (or be working towards it).
- Strong knowledge of UK tax compliance with some exposure to advisory work.
- Previous experience in an accountancy practice environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- A proactive and professional approach, with the desire to progress further.
