Job PurposeÂ
- Overseeing a large portfolio consisting mainly of personal tax clients, ensuring compliance at every step
- Work closely with Employment Tax Director, reporting directly to them and providing ad-hoc support where needed
- Preparation and reviewing of tax computations
- Preparation and reviewing of tax returns
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Liaising with HMRC to resolve tax queries quickly and effectively on behalf of clients
- Supporting business development strategies, attending prospective meetings and quoting for services
- Overseeing junior team members, including workflow management, quality control, and providing training
- Building trusted client relationships, proactively handling queries and problem solving
- Keeping up-to-date with tax knowledge, championing knowledge sharing across the team

The Successful Applicant
- ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified
- Qualified by experience within UK practice also considered
- Strong portfolio management experience
- Technically efficient across taxation
- Supervisory experience with good people management skills
- Self-motivated, reliable and eager to progressÂ
- Proficient in using relevant software, including Sage, Xero, QuickBooks etc
- A drive to deliver technical knowledge to clients
- Confident in reviewing processes and improving systems to boost efficiencyÂ
- Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and writtenÂ
- Commercial business acumen
