Tax Director
Tax Directors jobs are found within accountancy firms.
Tax Directors will head the tax department of an accountancy firm and will take full responsibility for the firm of accountants tax offering.
Larger firms of accountants may have several Tax Directors with each heading up a different tax discipline, for example, Personal Tax Director, Corporate Tax Director etc.
Becoming a Tax Director is often the pinnacle of tax accountants career and Tax Directors will have many years of experience of working in tax within an accountancy firm.
Tax Directors will be CTA/CA/ACCA or ACA qualified and have tax accountants reporting into them.
Besides overseeing the accountancy firms clients a Tax Director will also be involved in the strategic planning of the accountancy firm including ensuring the firm is winning new clients. With this in mind, Tax Directors are often pitching for new work from both existing and new clients.
