The Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will take responsibility for preparing and reviewing accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients while providing support and guidance to more junior team members. This is a client-facing position that offers exposure to varied work and genuine career progression opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
- Reviewing accounts prepared by junior colleagues and providing constructive feedback.
- Preparing management accounts and supporting clients with financial reporting requirements.
- Assisting with tax compliance and liaising with the tax team where required.
- Supporting clients with queries, offering practical and commercially focused advice.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Assisting managers/partners with ad hoc projects as required.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be:
- ACA/ACCA qualified (or finalist) with proven experience in accountancy practice.
- Skilled in preparing statutory and management accounts.
- Knowledgeable in UK accounting standards and tax compliance processes.
- A strong communicator with the ability to explain technical matters clearly to clients.
- Organised, detail-focused, and able to manage deadlines effectively.
- A team player with leadership potential, keen to mentor and support junior staff.
