The Role

As a Semi Senior Accountant, you’ll support the preparation of accounts, tax returns, and management information for a varied portfolio of clients. This role provides excellent exposure to a wide range of industries, along with study support and mentoring to help you achieve qualification.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting in the preparation of year-end statutory accounts for companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
• Supporting the preparation of management accounts.
• Drafting corporation and personal tax returns.
• Assisting with bookkeeping and VAT returns where required.
• Liaising with clients to resolve queries and build trusted relationships.
• Supporting senior colleagues on ad hoc projects.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will:

• Be AAT qualified or ACA/ACCA part-qualified, with recent experience in accountancy practice.
• Have a solid understanding of accounts preparation and tax compliance.
• Be eager to continue studies with full support towards qualification.
• Possess strong IT skills, ideally with experience using cloud-based software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
• Be organised, detail-focused, and able to manage deadlines.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
