Tax Manager

This is an outstanding opportunity for an Employment Tax Manager to join a dynamic accountancy and advisory practice. You’ll manage a varied portfolio of clients across sectors, lead advisory projects, and play a key role in shaping the firm’s employment tax services.
The Role
As Employment Tax Manager, you’ll provide expert guidance to clients on all aspects of employment taxation — from PAYE and benefits compliance to remuneration and workforce planning. You’ll also mentor junior colleagues, contribute to the firm’s tax strategy, and ensure the delivery of high-quality client service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of clients, providing advice on PAYE, benefits in kind, IR35, off-payroll working, and termination payments
- Leading advisory projects including workforce restructuring, global mobility, and reward strategy
- Overseeing employment tax compliance processes and managing HMRC correspondence
- Delivering training to clients and internal teams on employment tax changes and best practice
- Supporting business development by identifying and developing new opportunities
- Reviewing the work of junior team members and contributing to their professional development
- Staying up to date with evolving tax legislation and advising on implications
