The Role

As Employment Tax Manager, you’ll be the trusted advisor to clients across multiple sectors, providing practical, strategic advice on employment tax matters while managing compliance and mentoring junior colleagues.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a varied portfolio of clients and delivering advice on PAYE, benefits in kind, IR35, and off-payroll working
• Providing technical guidance on employment status, termination payments, and reward planning
• Overseeing compliance processes, including HMRC submissions and risk management
• Leading advisory projects such as workforce restructuring, incentive schemes, and expatriate tax issues
• Supporting clients during HMRC audits and enquiries, providing strong technical representation
• Training and developing junior staff, reviewing work, and promoting technical excellence
• Identifying business development opportunities and contributing to the firm’s growth strategy
