Tax Director

The Role
As Tax Director, you will take overall responsibility for leading the tax team and delivering high-quality advisory services across a broad portfolio of clients. You’ll also contribute at a strategic level, working closely with the partners to shape the direction of the firm’s tax offering.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the delivery of tax advisory projects across corporate, personal, and international tax.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for key clients, providing strategic, commercially focused tax advice.
- Driving business development and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Leading, managing, and mentoring the tax team, ensuring a high standard of technical and client service delivery.
- Liaising with HMRC on complex tax matters.
- Playing an active role in the leadership of the practice, contributing to firmwide strategy and decision-making.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will be:
- CTA qualified (or equivalent), with significant post-qualification experience in practice.
- A proven leader, with experience managing and growing a tax team.
- Technically strong across a range of tax disciplines, with particular expertise in corporate and personal tax advisory.
- Commercially aware, with a track record of business development and client relationship management.
- Strategic, ambitious, and confident in contributing at board level.
