This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Audit Manager to join a well-established and expanding audit team in Liverpool. You’ll oversee a varied portfolio, lead high-quality audit engagements, and work closely with senior leadership on strategy, growth, and service excellence.

The Role

As Senior Audit Manager, you will take ownership of key audit relationships and play a pivotal role in the leadership of the audit department.

• Managing a substantial portfolio of audit clients, including larger and more complex engagements
• Leading audits from planning through to completion, ensuring high technical standards and regulatory compliance
• Overseeing audit risk assessments, budgeting, resourcing and workflow planning
• Reviewing audit files, statutory accounts and reporting outputs to ensure quality and efficiency
• Acting as a trusted adviser to clients, providing clear commercial insight alongside technical assurance
• Leading and developing Audit Managers, Seniors, Semi Seniors and trainees through coaching and mentoring
• Supporting partners with audit strategy, departmental performance, and long-term growth initiatives
• Contributing to business development, tenders and referral relationships
• Driving improvements in audit methodology, systems and internal processes

This is a senior role combining technical excellence, leadership and strategic contribution.
