The successful candidate will play a key role within the practice, managing client relationships, delivering high-quality accounts work and contributing to the continued success of the firm.
The Role
As Senior Accountant, you will manage your own portfolio of clients and act as a key point of contact, ensuring the delivery of high-quality accounting and advisory services.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of clients across a variety of sectors
- Acting as the main point of contact for client queries, providing professional and timely advice
- Preparing statutory accounts for a range of businesses
- Reviewing accounts prepared by more junior members of staff
- Supporting, mentoring and supervising junior team members
- Working closely with the partners to ensure excellent service delivery
- Building strong and lasting relationships with clients
This role requires someone with the confidence, experience and professional gravitas to manage clients independently while maintaining exceptional technical standards.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a capable and experienced practice accountant with a proven ability to manage both clients and team members.
You will have:
- ACA or ACCA qualification, or be qualified by experience
- Strong experience working within an accountancy practice environment
- A proven track record of managing a client portfolio
- Experience supervising or supporting junior staff
- The ability to confidently handle client queries without supervision
- Experience preparing and reviewing statutory accounts
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
