This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant who enjoys reviewing work, developing junior staff and building relationships with clients, while still retaining some hands-on involvement with accounts preparation.

Senior Accountant Job Overview

As a Senior Accountant, you will manage a small portfolio of clients, working closely with managers and directors to ensure a high standard of service delivery.

You will review work completed by the wider team while still remaining involved in the preparation of accounts for smaller statutory clients.

The role also includes a significant mentoring and training element, supporting team members ranging from juniors through to senior accountants.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a small portfolio of clients
• Reviewing statutory accounts and financial statements
• Preparing accounts for smaller assignments where required
• Supporting managers and directors with client delivery
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients
• Training and mentoring junior and senior members of the team
• Supporting the wider accounts team during busy periods
