This is an excellent opportunity for an Audit Senior to join a growing audit team in Liverpool. You’ll lead statutory audit assignments from planning through to completion, support junior colleagues, and work closely with managers and partners to deliver outstanding service across a diverse client portfolio.

The Role

As Audit Senior, you will take ownership of audit engagements, ensuring work is delivered efficiently, accurately and in line with professional standards.

• Leading statutory audits for a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors
• Planning audits, identifying risk areas and designing appropriate testing
• Managing fieldwork on-site and in-office, ensuring audits run smoothly
• Reviewing audit files and supporting documentation prepared by junior staff
• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and associated working papers
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients throughout the audit process
• Highlighting issues, control weaknesses and recommendations to managers/partners
• Supporting the training and development of trainees and semi seniors
• Ensuring assignments are completed to deadline and within budget
