Corporate Tax Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Tax Manager to join a respected and growing accountancy practice in Newcastle. You’ll manage a varied portfolio of corporate clients, lead a team of tax professionals, and deliver high-quality compliance and advisory work across a range of sectors.
The Role
As Corporate Tax Manager, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of clients, overseeing compliance and advising on complex corporate tax matters. You’ll also contribute to the development of the team, help shape the firm’s tax offering, and work closely with senior leadership to identify opportunities for growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the delivery of corporate tax compliance services for a broad client base
- Reviewing and finalising corporation tax computations and returns
- Providing proactive tax planning and advisory services including group reorganisations, acquisitions, disposals, R&D tax relief, and capital allowances
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, offering clear, practical, and strategic advice
- Managing and mentoring junior members of the corporate tax team
- Assisting with business development, including networking and supporting Partners in pitching for new work
- Liaising with HMRC and handling client tax queries and investigations
- Identifying tax-saving opportunities and areas for process improvement
- Staying up to date with changes in tax legislation and communicating insights to clients and colleagues
