Audit Senior
Are you an experienced auditor looking to take the next step in your career? Our client, a well-established and forward-thinking accountancy practice, is seeking a talented Audit Senior to join their Northampton office.
The Firm
This is a progressive firm of chartered accountants with a long-standing reputation for providing high-quality audit, tax, and advisory services to a wide range of clients. The Role
As an Audit Senior, you will take responsibility for planning and delivering audits across a varied client base, while also supervising junior staff and ensuring high standards of client service. This role offers the chance to gain exposure to an interesting portfolio, from owner-managed businesses and SMEs through to more complex groups.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading audits from planning through to completion, working closely with managers and partners.
- Preparing financial statements in line with UK GAAP.
- Supervising, coaching, and reviewing the work of junior colleagues.
- Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact during audits.
- Identifying risk areas and ensuring compliance with auditing standards.
- Assisting with ad hoc projects and advisory work as required.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- ACA/ACCA qualification (or nearing completion).
- Previous audit experience gained within accountancy practice.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards.
- Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- A proactive and professional attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
