The Role

As Audit Manager, you will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring the smooth delivery of high-quality audits and financial reporting services.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading audits from planning through to completion, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Managing financial reporting assignments, helping clients meet statutory obligations.
• Reviewing and finalising work prepared by junior team members, providing coaching and mentoring support.
• Managing client relationships, acting as a key point of contact and trusted advisor.
• Working closely with Partners and Directors to deliver technical solutions and add real value to clients.
• Overseeing multiple deadlines and balancing workloads across the team.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.

This role offers a high degree of autonomy, while also being part of a collaborative and supportive management team.

About You

The successful candidate will:

• Be ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
• Have proven experience in managing audits and financial reporting within an accountancy practice.
• Be technically strong with up-to-date knowledge of audit and accounting standards.
• Demonstrate excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Have strong organisational abilities, with a track record of managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Be commercially astute, with the ability to build long-term relationships and spot opportunities to add value to clients.
