The Role
This is a varied position combining audit and accounts responsibilities, giving you the opportunity to manage a portfolio of clients across a wide range of industries. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality audit services, preparing statutory accounts, and supporting junior staff.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading audits from planning through to completion, reporting directly to managers and partners.
- Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
- Reviewing accounts prepared by junior staff and providing constructive feedback.
- Preparing corporation tax computations and supporting with ad hoc advisory work.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Supervising and mentoring junior colleagues.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- ACA/ACCA qualification (or be a finalist) with proven practice experience.
- A solid background in both audit and accounts preparation.
- Good technical knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in dealing directly with clients.
- A proactive and collaborative approach.
