Full-time R & D Tax Specialist Job Vacancy

Are you a digital R & D tax relief professional looking for a career move to become an R & D Tax Specialist within an award-winning, regional accountancy firm?

You’ll have a relevant accountancy, computer science, engineering, or software development degree, demonstrable experience within an R & D tax-related role within an accountancy firm, and be an excellent communicator. You might also be studying towards or have achieved an accountancy and tax qualification, which is desirable but not essential.

Working within a brand new Research & Development hub, this role is focused on the specialist area of R & D Tax, where you’ll have the opportunity to lead and develop client relationships and autonomously run digital R & D tax relief assignments.

You’ll have excellent technical skills, have a can-do attitude to problem-solving, and be motivated to see projects through to completion in a timely manner.

Job Purpose

  • Working within the R & D tax relief hub.
  • Provide expert advice on R & D tax relief.
  • Lead and manage digital R & D tax relief assignments from start to finish.
  • Keep knowledge of all R & D tax relief laws and regulations up to date.
  • Manage your own varied portfolio of clients directly.
  • Manage external queries and liaise with HMRC.
  • Manage WIP and provide excellent customer service.
  • Build relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Strive for continuous improvement and innovation within the R & D tax hub.
  • Be an inclusive and supportive team member.

Job Requirements

  • A relevant degree (including accountancy, computer science, engineering, or software development).
  • Experience of working in an R & D tax-related role within an accountancy firm.
  • You might also be studying towards or have achieved an accountancy and tax qualification, which is desirable but not essential.
