Full-time Tax Semi Senior Job Vacancy

You’ll have a relevant degree, previous experience within a tax-related role within an accountancy firm, and be an excellent networker — able to build relationships with new and existing clients. You might also be studying towards or have achieved an accountancy and tax qualification, which is desirable but not essential.

This role is predominantly a tax semi senior role, although you may be required to get involved in tax compliance work on occasions. You’ll be the go-to for tax accountant for this firm — the main point of contact for your own client portfolio in addition to providing support for team members with tax-related matters.

Excellent advisory and communication skills are a must for this role, and you’ll need to promote and strive for customer service excellence at all times.

You’ll have excellent technical skills, have a can-do attitude to problem-solving, and be motivated to see projects through to completion in a timely manner.

You’ll have the opportunity to lead and develop relationships with clients and lead tax planning assignments.

Job Purpose

  • Manage a client portfolio, including discussing tax planning on a regular basis in meetings.
  • Responsible for leading tax planning projects from start to finish promptly.
  • Build relationships with new and existing clients — aiming to be their trusted accountant.
  • Identify new opportunities for the department and firm — taking an active role in business development and fee generation.
  • Manage WIP and bill clients for work completed.

Job Requirements

  • A relevant degree.
  • Experience of working in a tax-related role within an accountancy firm.
