Tax Director Job Vacancy
This leading accountancy firm is looking for a Tax Director to join their team in Leicester. This opportunity will suit someone looking for a route to Partnership and ready to hit the ground running leading a thriving team of tax professionals for a well-established firm.
The successful candidate will be CTA qualified with demonstrable experience of tax and leadership. Once appointed, they will become a valued, senior member of the team and will oversee the tax function, advising on and developing all tax matters with a bias towards corporate tax.
With clients covering a diverse range of industries, with significant annual turnovers, this firm is keen to welcome a proactive professional who can motivate and inspire the junior team, support the Partners and provide a first-class, technically excellent level of service to their valued clients.
You will have a keen eye for detail and the ability to see and implement changes to processes to improve service delivery to clients. You will also have a strong record of accomplishment of improving profitability and exceeding client expectations, representing the firm with excellent communications skills.
Job Purpose
- Lead the tax function with a corporate tax bias.
- Share for share exchanges, re-organisations and de-mergers.
- Corporate finance support, M&A transactions and buyouts.
- Due diligence.
- Share valuations.
- R&D.
- SBA.
- Capital allowance claims.
- Group corporate tax issues.
- The leadership of the tax department, management of the team and oversight of workflow.
- Client relationship management.
- Networking and business development.

Job Requirements
- CTA or QBE.
- UK practice experience.
- Previous experience nurturing client relationships within practice.
- Significant tax compliance and advisory services.
- Senior management level experience
- Good basic knowledge across accountancy services.
- A can-do attitude to problem-solving.
- Self-motivated and able to manage your own deadlines and workflow and that of others.
- Excellent communication and attention to detail.
- Commercial acumen and creative ideas for new processes and growth.
