Tax Assistant Manager
Job Purpose
- Managing a varied portfolio of clients, including individuals, sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, ensuring compliance with current tax legislation
- Providing strategic tax planning advice and identifying tax-saving opportunities for clients
- Assisting with HMRC inquiries and investigations, representing clients as needed
- Supporting and mentoring junior tax staff, ensuring their continued professional development
- Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries, provide tax advice, and build long-lasting relationships
- Collaborating with senior management to develop and enhance the firm’s tax service offerings

The Successful Applicant
- ACA, ACCA, ATT, or CTA qualified (or equivalent), with substantial experience in UK tax practice
- Strong knowledge of UK tax legislation and compliance requirements
- Proven ability to manage a diverse client portfolio across various industries
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- A proactive, career-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and client satisfaction
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
