Are you a driven Semi-Senior seeking a new role within a firm of accountants based in Solihull? 

Are you looking for progression within your accountancy career to Semi-Senior? 

A multi-partner, Birmingham-based accountancy business has a new and exciting vacancy for a Semi-Senior that has, or is willing to study towards, an AAT/ACCA/ICAEW qualification.

As an enthusiastic accountant, you’ll need to have substantial tax and accounting knowledge and experience, be a self-starter, and understand the value of teamwork for this job.

This firm of accountants is situated on the outskirts of Birmingham and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and a competitive benefits package.

Job Purpose 

As a Semi-Senior within this firm of accountants, you will need to be comfortable and confident representing the company on client calls and at client meetings.

You will support a portfolio of both established and new clients in your job as a Semi-Senior, which will include preparing management accounts for clients on a monthly and quarterly basis. 

The job will also include preparing year-end accounts, tax planning, and tax returns.

As a Semi-Senior, your job will include managing, supporting and developing more junior members of the team.

You will also be required to work closely with the management team and senior stakeholders, where your recommendations and input will support the company’s growth, values, and success.

Job Requirements


  • Studying towards or ACA/ACCA qualified.
  • Technically proficient with accounts and tax calculations.
  • A self-motivated and proactive individual. 
  • A team player who is approachable, inclusive, and able to inspire others.
  • An excellent communicator, both written and oral.
  • Organised and comfortable meeting deadlines for clients.
  • Competent with Microsoft and other IT software.
