This newly created Partner Designate job in Wolverhampton is suitable for an ACCA/ACA qualified accountant already working in a public practice accountancy firm. This presents a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Accountant who is looking for progression into a more client facing and strategic role, or for an existing Partner Designate/Associate Director who wishes to take a more proactive role in practice development.
This ambitious practice works with a varied portfolio of clients, ranging from Start-up through to larger SME’s and HNW individuals. Whilst the practice is not sector specific it does have specialisms within Healthcare & Construction. Over recent years the practice has been building its expertise within Business growth advisory and Business Development services for clients. Much of the firms’ recent organic growth can be attributed to its forward-thinking approach to technology and service development.
The practice has an established and ambitious leadership team who are now looking for someone to fit with their succession strategy. For the right individual, this could be an opportunity to become involved in the future planning and strategy of the firm, moving quickly through to partner level.
The Partner Designate will be responsible for;
• Managing the flow of work within the accountancy practice
• Meeting with both prospects and existing clients to discuss the range of services
• Business Development activities designed to increase fee income and attract new clients to the practice
• Assessing the training needs of more junior members of staff and working closely with them to mentor and develop the team
• Managing a team of fully qualified and part qualified accountants
• Reporting directly to and working closely with the Partners to create the operational and strategic growth plans for the practice
The perfect Partner Designate will be ACCA/ACA qualified and have a minimum of five years’ experience of working within a busy public practice accountancy firm. Ideally suited towards an experienced Senior Accountant looking to progress their career in their first Partner Designate role or an existing Partner Designate looking to join a public practice that will enable them to reach their full potential. The role will be salaried initially but with the potential to progress to full equity partner in the future.
