Public Practice Recruitment Ltd are working exclusively with a successful and fast-growing Swindon based independent practice seeking a Partner Designate to bolster their existing senior management team. This exciting Partner Designate job in Wiltshire is suitable for an ambitious ACCA/ACA fully qualified accountant with some experience of managing a portfolio of clients within a public practice accountancy firm.

This opportunity has arisen due to unexpectedly high levels of organic growth. Despite the fast pace of growth, and the progressive approach within the practice, this established firm has very much retained its traditional values and the ethos of ‘quality first’. The practice provides a range of accounting services including Audit & Accounts, Taxation advice/planning and Business support, Accounting systems advice and has a particular affinity with family owned and SME businesses.

The role would appeal to a Qualified Accountant with several years of general practice experience and good levels of commercial insight. If you are keen to demonstrate your leadership flair and to provide input into the future strategy of a successful practice this job could be for you. Whilst the role is initially for a Partner Designate, there will be a well-defined route to Partner over a 2-year period approximately. This is an exciting time in the history of the practice, and a fantastic time to join this dynamic and ambitious team.

The Partner Designate job will entail;
• Supporting the Partners with strategic planning and development of the practice
• Client development and relationship management
• Development of the fee base by promoting services to both potential and existing clients
• Managing the workload and delivery quality of a team of Junior and Senior level accountants
• Working with the Partners to create and implement the training and development plan for the practice
• Ensuring WIP targets and other relevant Financial targets are achieved within your portfolio/team

The ideal Partner Designate for this role will have a number of years’ experience working within a busy public practice accountancy firm and have a proven track record of excellence in client delivery, along with the ability to build and develop relationships with a varied client base. In terms of background, our client would prefer someone with mixed general practice experience.

There will be a need for the successful applicant to become actively involved in Business Development activities and to work with the Partners to ensure continued growth. You will be comfortable in dealing with clients from a range of sectors, as well as communicating confidently with HNWI’S, Small business owners and Finance Directors from Corporate entities.

This role will ideally suit a Senior Accountant or Manager looking to progress into a more senior role and plot that route to Partner. Equally this role would provide a good fit for an existing Partner Designate who is looking to join a public practice that will enable them to achieve that next step to Salaried Partner within a defined timescale.
