Our Shropshire based client is a privately owned multi office accountancy firm with a reputation for not only providing quality advice, but also attracting the best accountancy talent. Due to restructuring internally, along with recent growth, they now require a Tax Senior to join their independently owned practice.
This Mixed Tax Senior job in Shrewsbury is suitable for a Tax Accountant with experience of working in a client facing role within a public practice accountancy firm.
The role will be mainly compliance based working with both personal and corporate clients. The offices are in the heart of beautiful Shrewsbury and provide a friendly and comfortable environment in which to work. The Practice takes pride in its people and endeavours to provide an empowering and supportive culture.
The main responsibilities of the Tax Senior will be;
· Advising Personal Tax clients, including Business owners & HNWI's on basic tax planning
· Technical research
· Preparing and filing Personal Tax returns
· Preparing business tax computations/tax returns
· Attending client meetings
· Liaising with HMRC (including responding to client enquiries)
· Preparing billing and draft fee notes
The perfect Tax Senior will be part qualified (CTA/ACA) with a minimum of three years’ experience in a Public Practice environment. Technically strong, you will have a passion for knowledge and the ability to think creatively. The ideal Tax Senior will be confident in dealing with clients at all levels and have a confident manner in communicating with clients both over the phone and face to face. You will also require strong written communication skills in order to be able to write reports where required.
