Mixed Tax Consultant
Mixed Tax Consultant/consultancy jobs in accountancy public practices require, Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) or, Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) professional tax qualifications. It is highly recommended for a tax senior accountant in an accountancy firm to study towards their CTA or ATT certifications.
Some accountancy firms will accept qualified by experience Tax Consultants, as they have earnt several years tax experience within a public practice accountancy firm. This would be despite not holding a professional tax qualification gained through the Chartered Institute Of Taxation (CIOT)/ATT, or another tax training provider.
Tax courses for ATT and CTA are run by Kaplan, BPP, CIOT, Mercia and other tax training providers.
Mixes Tax Consultant jobs involve tax advisory and tax compliance work.
Tax jobs can be incredibly rewarding in that they can help an individual or corporate entity reduce their tax liability to HMRC. Tax avoidance is clearly different from mitigating a tax liability, and a Tax Consultant would work closely with a Tax Manager or Tax Partner to come up with the right solution for a client of an accountancy firm.
Senior Mixed Tax Consultants also undertake tax compliance work in that they complete tax computations, which then show a tax liability to be paid to HMRC, rather than looking at how a liability can be mitigated through tax planning.
A Senior Mixed Tax Consultant is likely to have Tax Consultants reporting into them along with Tax Juniors and Tax Trainees. The Senior Mixed Tax Consultant will review the work of the Tax Semi Seniors, Tax Juniors and Tax Trainees and play a part in the overall delivery of their tax training and development needs.
Mixed Tax Consultants would report into/consult with a Tax Manager or Tax Partner to have their own work reviewed, as well reporting into them for their own tax training and development needs.
Mixed Tax Consultant jobs can be found by working with Public Practice Recruitment Ltd as we recruit for accountancy firms UK-wide including Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham, London, Leicester, Peterborough, Norwich, Ipswich, Oxford and Cheltenham to name a few.
