Senior Accountant

The Role
As Senior Accountant, you’ll play a key role in managing a varied portfolio of clients, ensuring the accurate preparation of accounts, providing expert business advice, and helping to mentor more junior members of the team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing year-end financial statements for limited companies, LLPs, partnerships, and sole traders
- Preparing management accounts and delivering financial insights to clients
- Completing corporation tax computations and assisting with tax planning
- Reviewing work prepared by junior team members, providing constructive feedback and guidance
- Managing client communication and building trusted relationships with business owners
- Supporting Partners and Managers on complex assignments and special projects
- Contributing to process improvements and promoting best practice across the team
About You
You’re a technically strong and client-focused accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
You will:
- Be ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent), or nearing completion
- Have at least 3–5 years’ experience working in a UK accountancy practice
- Possess strong technical knowledge of FRS 102 and UK accounting standards
- Be confident managing your own portfolio and delivering to deadlines
- Have excellent communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Demonstrate good attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and commercial awareness
- Be comfortable working with cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
