Role Responsibilities

• Act as the lead advisor for a portfolio of clients, offering strategic, proactive support

• Lead client meetings and provide insight across tax, accounts, and business advisory matters

• Review and sign off statutory accounts, corporate and personal tax returns, and other key documentation

• Ensure compliance across tax areas including corporation tax, VAT, CGT, and IHT

• Provide hands-on leadership to the team—managing performance, development, and training

• Foster collaboration across service lines, ensuring joined-up and value-driven client delivery

• Play a key role in recruitment, succession planning, and talent development

• Drive practice growth through professional networking, referrals, and business development

• Represent the firm in external engagements and maintain high professional standards

Candidate Requirements

• Professionally qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent)

• Significant experience within UK accountancy practice at senior leadership level

• Technical expertise in statutory accounting and personal/corporate tax compliance

• Strong commercial awareness and experience supporting growing or complex client businesses

• Proven team leadership, with the ability to inspire and mentor others

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Confident managing multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional service standards
