Role Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of clients, acting as the main point of contact for their accounting and advisory needs
• Supervising the preparation of accounts for small and medium-sized businesses, including statutory accounts
• Reviewing and advising on corporation tax returns and VAT submissions
• Providing tailored business and tax planning advice to help clients achieve their goals
• Supporting the Partners with strategic projects and day-to-day responsibilities
• Delegating work to and mentoring junior team members, ensuring high-quality output
• Monitoring internal budgets and ensuring deadlines are met
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, addressing their queries and concerns promptly

Candidate Requirements

• ACA or ACCA qualification, or be qualified by experience
• At least 5 years of recent experience in an accountancy practice
• Strong technical skills in accounts preparation, tax compliance, and business advisory
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple client relationships
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with CCH, Xero, or similar software is advantageous
• A proactive approach to solving problems and meeting client needs
• A collaborative attitude with the ability to lead and mentor a team
