Client Manager Job Vacancy  

This award-winning firm of accountants is searching for a talented Client Manager to join their growing team in High Wycombe. 

As a Client Manager, you will have regular contact with clients and excellent communication skills will be essential. You’ll have the ability to build relationships with clients quickly, managing a portfolio of clients with a proactive approach to delivering excellence. 

ICAEW or ACCA qualified with at least five years of accountancy practice experience, you’ll need to be driven and commercially astute, with a good working knowledge of Sage, Xero and other cloud accounting tools. 

As a team player, you’ll bring out the best in others through reviewing the work of junior staff, as well as working with other managers to lead the team towards department goals. 

Job Purpose 

  • Preparation of management accounts for a varied client portfolio. 
  • Manage workflow and ensuring excellence is delivered, including planning, delegation, and project reporting. 
  • Provide excellent service to clients by leading meetings and proactively supporting queries. 
  • Work closely with the senior management team to develop budgets and monitor business performance, including supporting Partners with projects. 
  • Review processes and take initiative to present more efficient ways of service delivery. 
  • Contribute to the firm’s growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective clients. 
  • Oversee the implementation of cloud-based accounting, communicating with clients in a clear and easy-to-understand manner. 
  • Lead a team by fostering a supportive and inclusive environment, including reviewing work of junior staff in a constructive manner. 
  • Champion the firm’s values and motivate colleagues to deliver excellence.

The successful candidate 

  • ICAEW or ACCA, qualified with at least five years of accountancy practice experience. 
  • Working knowledge of Sage, Xero, and other cloud accounting packages. 
  • Managerial experience, motivating a team and championing results. 
  • A can-do attitude to problem-solving. 
  • Organised and able to manage own workload effectively. 
  • Excellent communication and advisory skills. 
  • Confident working alongside senior management.
