Job Purpose
- Oversee bookkeeping duties, including VAT returns for a diverse portfolio of small to medium sized businesses
- Preparation of accounts to ensure deadlines, budgets and high standards are always met
- Use Xero to monitor the implementation of systems for clients
- Assist clients and colleagues with Xero and Sage queries
- Build strong rapport with clients, acting as their ‘go-to’ contact
- Work as part of a team that fosters a supportive working environment
- Supervise junior staff, review work and champion skill sharing across the team

The Successful Applicant
- Recent bookkeeping experience, including the preparation of VAT returns for small businesses
- At least 2 years’ experience in a practice environment preferred, but not essential
- Good working knowledge of accounting software including Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks
- Good analytical skills and strong attention to detail
- A can-do attitude to problem-solving
- Good communications skills, both written and verbally
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Proactive and enthusiastic approach to work
