Audit & Accounts Senior job in Cambridge for an ACCA/ACA qualified accountant with experience working in a public practice accountancy firm. An ideal opportunity for an Audit or Accounts Senior who would like to gain access to a diverse client base and an interesting mix of work. The role will be roughly split 50% Accounts and 50% Audit. Flexible working hours are available with this role.
This entrepreneurial and forward-thinking practice in Cambridgeshire provide tailored accounting and tax planning advice for start-ups, SME's and technology companies in Cambridge and the surrounding region. Our clients combined business expertise covers a range of accounting and tax services designed to support a variety of businesses and industries including technology companies, start-ups, pharmaceuticals, agricultural, owner-managed and overseas businesses.
The main responsibilities for this Audit & Accounts Senior include;
– Accounts preparation for Limited companies, Sole traders, Partnerships, LLP's & Charities
– Prepare corporation tax computations for manager review
– Prepare consolidated group accounts
– Group tax planning
– R&D tax relief calculations
– Reviewing the work of more junior members of staff
– Planning and completion of audits for companies with T/O of over £10m
– Taking full responsibilities of the day to day audit process
– Working closely with the Partners
The perfect Audit & Accounts Senior will ACCA/ACA qualified with a number of years' experience of working within a busy public practice accountancy firm. The work will be fairly evenly split between Audit and Accounts, but the successful candidate will need the confidence and experience to enable them to lead on Audits. The successful applicant will need to be confident in dealing face to face with clients as well as be able to act as audit senior and oversee and help train junior members of staff.
This job would be ideally suited towards an Audit & Accounts Semi Senior looking to progress their career in obtaining their first Audit & Accounts Senior position, or an existing Audit & Accounts Senior looking to join an employee focused accountancy firm. Support and training will be given to the successful candidate as well as being given the opportunity to develop themselves further by studying for CTA if desired.
