Due to restructuring internally, along with recent growth, they now require an ACCA/ACA Qualified Accountant to join their independently owned practice. This Audit & Accounts Manager job in Witney is suitable for an ACCA (or equivalent) qualified accountant currently working in a public practice accountancy firm, but looking for additional responsibility and a route to progress their career.

The Audit department is well established and growing, and this successful Oxon based accountancy firm is now looking for the right person to help the Partners in developing the Practices' Audit strategy going forwards.
Our client is now seeking a highly experienced ACCA qualified Audit & Accounts Manager (70:30 in favour of audit) looking to progress their career to a Senior Audit & Accounts Manager/Partner Designate level. This role would suit an Audit Senior looking to progress into a more challenging role or an existing Accounts Manager/ Audit Manager looking for more diversity and autonomy within their role.
The main responsibilities of this Audit & Accounts Manager will be;
– Management, planning and conduct of all audit work within the practice
– Management and production of client accounts, both annual statutory and monthly management accounts
– Production of corporation tax and VAT returns for various client companies
– Job programming for small accounts production team to ensure timely and efficient service provided to clients
– Monitoring of filing deadlines to ensure all met across the practice
– Involvement in practice development and marketing
The perfect Audit & Accounts Manager will be ACCA/ACA qualified with a minimum of three years' experience. Technically strong, you will have audit & accounts experience gained within a practice environment, coupled with excellent communication skills. You will be capable of leading the audit process from planning to completion as well as involvement in the post audit meeting. Strong organisational skills are essential as you will be managing the Audit portfolio for the practice. You will need to be confident also in liaising with clients at all levels.
