An Oxford based public practice accountancy firm is seeking an ACCA/ACA Qualified Accountant to join their well established and privately-owned practice. This Audit & Accounts Manager job in Oxfordshire is suitable for an ACCA accountant currently working in a public practice accountancy firm, our client would also consider accountants who are suitably qualified by experience. The role is geared approx. 50% accounts and 50% audit, and has the potential for progression to future Partner level for the right candidate.
This fast-growing Oxfordshire practice offers Accountancy, Audit and Tax Advisory services along with access to an International network enabling them to work with high profile entities with foreign parents. The client base includes Limited companies, Owner managed businesses and HNW individuals across the region. As a practice, they are constantly developing their service offering and the role will provide ample opportunity to develop your skill base and range of expertise. The team receive constant training and development and work together to exceed client expectations.
The main responsibilities of this Audit & Accounts Manager will be;
– Accounts preparation for a wide range of business entities
– Reviewing the work of a team of junior and Semi Senior accountants within the practice
– Taking responsibility for the planning and completion of audits, including some large and complex groups
– Managing the day to day audit process requirements of the firm, including responsibility for working to recovery targets
– Working closely with the Partners to ensure quality of output and efficiency of process
The perfect Audit & Accounts Manager will be ACCA/ACA qualified with a minimum of three years' experience of working within a busy public practice accountancy firm (some within Audit). Confidence in communicating with clients at all levels is imperative, along with a powerful desire to exceed service expectations. You will need to be able to plan, lead and complete on audits, including being confident with group consolidations. Leadership skills are required to manage and develop a team of technical staff, whilst looking after a portfolio of clients.
This role would suit a Senior Accountant or Audit Senior looking to progress into a more challenging role or an existing Accounts Manager/ Audit Manager looking for more diversity and autonomy within their role.
